This practice gives us the best of both worlds: a dynamic flow in the first half, and a deeply restorative session in the second half. We build heat in the muscles and expand the breath to shift our attention from the mind to the body, so that both the mind and body can relax and restore. Beginners without any injuries or physical limitations are welcome.

We practice 108 sun salutations four times a year, as the seasons change, and we welcome the equinoxes and the solstices.

Weekend Repose (Restorative Yoga and Meditation) is the perfect end-of-the week retreat packed in just 75 minutes. In restorative yoga, props (bolsters, blankets, blocks and straps) are used in longer-held simple poses to achieve a deep level of physical and mental relaxation. The parasympathetic nervous system is activated, allowing the body and mind to rest and digest. Muscles and connective tissue are given space to heal back to their natural state. The practice concludes with a guided meditation, allowing for a recalibration of our focus and a shift into a more spacious way of perceiving the daily grind.

A continuously moving and powerfully grounding and strengthening practice, followed by a guided meditation.

Enjoy the benefits of a mellow flow and yin yoga in one class! Mellow Flow is a slow moving, but continuously flowing and powerfully grounding practice that blends beginner and intermediate poses. Flowing at a mellow pace allows the muscles to tone and release, while the heart gently opens and the mind settles down. Yin yoga targets the connective tissue, which usually does not get reached through a more dynamic practice. In this style of yoga, poses are held anywhere from a minute to five minutes, depending on the pose. This practice is extremely beneficial to everyone, and is a great complement to yogis who are used to a stronger, more powerful practice. Beginners are welcome to this class, but as with any classes, please advise the teacher of any injuries or conditions that may be aggravated by the deep stretching.

Slow Flow is a meditative practice that focuses on slowing down through deep and steady breathing, holding postures, transitioning smoothly, and opening gently and mindfully with the ability to move deeper into one's body and self. Beginners are welcome.

Start your day with this mind clearing and invigorating flowing practice that will also provide plenty of time for soothing and replenishing stretching poses. The flow part of the practice will range in intensity from mellow to moderate heat building. Beginners are welcome, but as with any class, please let us know of any physical limitations or conditions that may affect your practice.

Please join us for a guided meditation through the seven chakras. This guided mediation will include an essential oil paired with each chakra and live therapeutic singing bowls to help you feel balanced and relaxed. The seven chakras are energy systems that are located throughout the body. These systems, which have been studied and explored for thousands of years, hold an energy intelligence that support and influence parts of the physical, emotional and spiritual body.

This class is designed to help teach students the importance of proper recovery of the physical body, and how to heal muscles and joint dysfunction on a deep level. We often hear about the benefits of engaging in physical activity, however the importance of recovery and rest are not nearly as prevalent, and in many cases totally ignored. Yoga Therapeutics will provide students with knowledge about self myofascial release techniques, how to balance the body properly against gravity, and how to “fire” or activate muscles around the hips and spine to create greater strength and stability in those areas. This is an all levels class, and will be a great complement to an existing yoga practice or fitness routine of any kind.

This six-week series is great for beginners, but also benefits seasoned practitioners looking to deepen their practice. Over the course of six weeks students will learn the importance of breath, and different forms of breath work, the nuances of standing poses, how to safely and properly transition from pose to pose, yoga philosophy, and how to practice the teachings of yoga in all areas of life. The student can expect a slower pace that will leave room for explaining the “why's” about yoga. Whether you are brand new to yoga or have been practicing for years, the most helpful mindset is to maintain a “beginner's mind,” allowing yourself to always remain a student so that you can continue to deepen and refine your practice on and off the mat.

This class combines functional core stability work with restorative and yin yoga. The first half of the practice is a hatha/vinyasa sequence that will gently build heat in the body and allow awareness to expand beyond the body through the use of the breath. The second half of the class is an opportunity to integrate the transformative effects of the practice and nourish the nervous system by deeply stretching and restoring muscles and connective tissue. This powerful combination of strength and surrender is also an invitation to authentically integrate these qualities in our daily lives.

Yoga Basics is beginners' perfect introduction to the practice of yoga, but is also a great class for any student searching for a deeper way to understand and apply the practice. Students will be exposed to the fundamentals of yoga, including proper alignment in common poses and breathing techniques, and will learn how to safely and appropriately modify any pose to fit their needs. Students hesitant to start or continue their practice because of a physical limitation or recovering from an injury will not only gain strength and flexibility but self trust and confidence to eventually take any class and feel at home within their own bodies and minds.
